1. Overview
ChatGPT Automator is a Chrome extension for chatgpt.com that helps you:
- Build and run a queue of image-generation prompts
- Submit each prompt automatically, one at a time
- Wait for every generation to finish before continuing
- Download generated images automatically
The extension works on ChatGPT pages only and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.
2. Install from Chrome Web Store
- Open the ChatGPT Automator listing in the Chrome Web Store.
- Click Add to Chrome.
- Pin the extension from the Chrome toolbar, then open its side panel.
3. Where it works
Use the extension on ChatGPT pages:
https://chatgpt.com/...https://chat.openai.com/...
If you are not on a supported ChatGPT page, automation controls may be limited.
4. Quick Start
- Sign in from the extension panel (Google or email).
- Paste your prompts into the prompt box, or import a CSV file.
Separate multi-line story prompts with the
@@@NEXT@@@delimiter. - Click Add to Queue and review the queue.
- Optionally choose Global or Per prompt reference images (up to 3 images per prompt in Per-prompt mode).
- Open ChatGPT in the current tab and press Run.
- The extension keeps ChatGPT in Create-image mode, submits one prompt at a time, waits for the generated image, and downloads it before moving on.
5. Reference images
- Global mode: send your reference images once, then continue the queue with text-only prompts that keep referring to them.
- Per prompt mode: attach up to 3 reference images to each prompt. You can add, replace, and remove images per prompt.
- Reference metadata is stored locally in the extension and never uploaded to our servers.
6. Storyboard planning
Open Storyboard to review every queued prompt next to its reference images before running. You can reorder, edit, and clean up the batch from one screen.
7. Plans and daily quota
- Starter (free): prompt queue, CSV import, and basic automation with a daily quota of 30 prompt runs.
- Premium: unlimited daily runs plus reference images, auto-download, storyboard planning, dark mode, and prompt delay controls.
- Eligible Starter accounts can activate a free Premium trial from the membership screen. One trial per account and installation.
